If 2020 taught us anything, it was that we were taking ‘staycations’ in our home countries for granted. Instead of hopping on a plane to visit faraway lands, people were staying closer to home and exploring a bit more of their own back yard. I for one, was extremely guilty of neglecting travel in the UK – until last year at least! Websites like mountain.co.uk can help you to decide what camping gear to get, but you need somewhere to bring it in the first place. The UK has so much to offer travellers and locals, especially when it comes to natural beauty, great beaches and historical landmarks! I’ve often neglected the UK in favour of faraway destinations, so the current pandemic seems to be providing the perfect opportunity to explore my home country.
